Colonic Irrigation ... was very apprehensive going for my first colonic but had read a lot about the proceedure and decided to give it a go. I had a brilliant therapist at Number One Colonics who put me at ease and explained everything as we went along. i found the proceedure much more comfortable and dignified than I had expected and the way I felt afterwards was just amazing. I also lost 3lbs - a bonus! I have booked to go back again and would recommend it to anyone who has never tried it. If you stay in the West of Scotland then I would definately recommend this practice as Sally is brilliant and a Registered Nurse so I felt in very safe hands. Acupuncture ... I like to believe that I have an open mind, I have always looked very suspiciously at some forms of alternative medicine. Until a couple of years ago I would have included acupuncture in this category, but after the dramatic changes brought about by this treatment, I am convinced that it makes a real difference in the relief of certain types of pain. I have suffered from lower back pain since my first pregnancy, 19 years ago. I was desperately seeking advice and help for my backache and decided to go to the Herbal Inn in Lewisham. On my first visit there , I was pursued to buy a package of six treatments of acupuncture . The girl working there , who was dealing with me , insisted me to buy 12 treatments in advance. She was very pushy and sales orientated. I felt extremely uncomfortable and wanted only to pay for my first treatment which had already taken place.
