WHAT IS IRIDOLOGY
==================

Iridology is the study of the iris of the eye.

Most iridologists read just the iris .They see it as a map of what the inside of your body is like. Some also look at the white of the eye, and what your eyes general appearance holds.They even look at the bags under your eyes. But in general it is only the iris that is inspected.

The iridologist believes that having a "twinkle" in your eye is a sign of good health. Therefore dull eyes represent that there may be a problem within the body.

Examples of conditions that can be detected in this manner are blood conditions, skin complaints , poor diet, too much cholesterol in your body , these are but a few and the list is extensive


HOW DID IT ALL START ~ DR PECZELYS STORY
=======================================

In 1861 a hungarian doctor by the name of
Dr. Ignatz von Peczely earned the title of "Father of Iridology".

He published a book on the subject called, "Discoveries in the Realms of Nature and the Art of Healing".

As a boy living in Hungary Von Peczely found an injured owl in his garden. He bound up the owls wing which was broken and found the owls eye had a strange line within it. When the owl's wing healed after a few months the line had almost disappeared.

He went on to become a doctor and observed that his patients also showed changes within their eyes if they had had surgery. He began to realise that there was a pattern emerging .After certain injuries or types of surgery his patients were getting similar effects within the irises of their eyes. He started to draw detailed maps of these changes.

Other doctors across Europe were actually doing similar things and it wasn't until 30 years later that this was discovered and that the maps they had drawn were in fact very very similar.


THE IRIS

he iris reveals changing conditions of every part and organ of the body. Every organ and part is indicated within the iris in a certain place .This can be seen on an iridologists map. From this map the iridologist can tell what if any disease you are likely to become prone to and what your general health is like.

Iridology also deals with emotional issues. It is a wholistic approach. Our eyes are the mirror of our soul and it is widely believed that negative emotional issues can effect our physical well being too.

All emotions carry energy. As energies, they have the power to affect the state of our minds and the health of our bodies. Emotions can be transmitted through the eyes out into the world around you.

If emotions are suppressed this can have a negative impact on the body and cause physical problems. Below is a list of common negative emotions and what parts of the body they can effect

The actual colours of the eye can give a wealth of information . Eyes are genetically either blue or brown or green and iridologists can tell a lot about your health by the intensity of the colour of your eyes. It appears that the fibre alignment within the iris has a lot to do with intensity of colour. Perhaps you have noticed you eyes on some days look brighter than on others?

Some interesting facts

This is also known as a cholesterol ring and may indicate that your cholesterol level is too
high.

lack circle in the middle of the eye with a flattened edge on one side .

This can indicate back problems and migraines.



**An opaque area on the upper edge of the iris.

Can indicate a lack of blood supply to the brain area.

HOW IRIDOLOGY WORKS

The iris has hundreds and thousands of nerve endings and impulses which run through it. These nerve endings correspond to different areas within the body.

The iridologists map is a culmination of years of work into analysing the areas that correspond to the body from within the eye, from this an accurate picture of health can be formed.

An iridologist records data on this map in conjunction with the picture that is built up from within your iris...this determines your state of health.

DIAGNOSTIC IRIDOLOGY

An iridologist looks at the iris with a magnifying glass and a small flashlight. You just sit still for 5 minutes while this is done and that is all there is to it!


A complete iris analysis will determine whether the body is strong or weak. It also reveals any toxin accumulation . Although it cannot determine or name specific diseases iridology will provide you with information about your tendency towards certain types of disease and often even before symptoms appear.
