Iridology is medical diagnosis technique which examines the iris of the eye very closely. This is done by photographing the iris at high magnification.

Certain parts of the surface of the body have a close relationship with what's going on in the internal organs.

For example, reflexology can be used to diagnose problems in different areas of the body. A pain in the arch af the foot may correspond with a pain in the back around waist level.

Accupuncture and accupressure points which are remote from the part of the body giving trouble may still affect that area.

In this way, iridologists can study the iris of the eye and discover areas of the body which may be causing problems, or about to misfunction in some way.

Each part of the iris relates to a specific area of the body and may reflect an internal organ or body system.

Close examination of the photograph enables the trained practitioner to see changes in colour and alteration in structure which relate to the patients health.

This technique can bring to light early signs of illness and build up of toxic substances.

It can also show up chronic desease and inherited conditions. These conditions can then be treated using whatever method the patient chooses.

Directly above the pupil of the eye at the noon position is where stomach problems will show up. At 2 o'clock on the outside of the iris is the area for the thyroid gland. Between 5 and 6 o'clock on the iris is the kidney area. At 10 o'clock is the lungs, and so on.

This seems a little strange and unbelievable, but I recently had an iris photograph taken and the iridologist pinpointed asthma and a couple of other problems that she could have had no prior knowledge of.

If you get the chance to try this out diagnostic technique I think you will be quite suprised at its accuracy.
