I had lasek corrective surgery 2 years ago and I highly recommend it. Best thing I ever did. Yes there is some discomfort involved and a very small amount of pain which lasted one night, but to have the opportunity to have perfect vision is worth the effort. First of all a slight note of caution. The ads on TV that say "from £395 per eye" are a load of bull. If you had near perfect vision then yes perhaps it would only cost that, but most people with really poor eyesight would expect to pay at least £800 per eye so please bear this in mind so that you do not pass out like I nearly did when they gave me the quote! I am quite surprised to see a considerable number of ops praising corrective eye surgery treatment. People considering laser eye surgery and reading these dooyoo ops might get a biased picture of the situation - but then they might be misled even by the 'official' data produced by the clinics who perform LASIK and PRK treatments.
