Peritoneal Dialysis has moved on to CCPD, continuous cycle peritoneal dialysis. Basically you hook yourself up to a machine, about the size of an old style video recorder, at night and when you wake up in the morning the dialysis is done. This allows you to work, look after children etc, without having to stop and drain out or require special facilities at work. Almost a normal life!
