Advantages: Very effective
Disadvantages: Not too nice to take
Do you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome? Then why not try Lepicol. I have tried all sorts and find many remedies quite expensive. Lepicol can be bought over the counter at most chemist shops for £6.95 My IBS has been so bad I developed a lump under my ribs which the doctor said was gut from suffering so badly. When I saw the advert for Lepicol I thought I would give it a try and, guess what, it worked a treat. Now here's the downside. It comes in a fairly large tub and when you open it there are millions of little husks which you have to put into orange juice. Of course, being husks, they do not mix well and tend to float on the surface. The first time I drank it I felt like retching but then I realised that the texture just felt like bits of orange, the sort you get floating in home made orange juice. To quote the container: Lepicol is made of natural source ingredients which help to maintain the efficient action of the bowels. Taken daily, it will help to ensure regular bowel movements in a smooth natural way whilst at the same time providing friendly bacteria which are so important for the long-term health of the bowels. It is particularly suitable for people suffering from sensitive or sluggish bowel problems. For the first two weeks you take two heaped teaspoons twice daily, then you can reduce it to once a day, in which case the container lasts around one month. For the first week or so of it my stomach felt as though it was total all out warfare in there. It did not hurt but there was a lot of noise and movement. Do not be alarmed, when you do go to the loo your stools will be gel-like, that is normal. Taking such a product helps the body work more efficiently and helps to detoxify. People with epilepsy, I have been told, benefit from such a product because toxins in the body can sometimes bring on a seizure. Ensuring regular bowel movements helps the body get rid of any
thing that is harmful. I am not a doctor, I can only pass on what a doctor has told me. Certainly worth trying.

savanna - 06/11/00 You could also try Aloe Vera 100% pure, a natural remedy which is a natural anti-inflammatory. It works pretty well for ISB |
