Advantages: Very high quality - nice retro packaging - divine home range
Disadvantages: A tad on the expensive side
Well smellies addicts, you'd better start saving because when you've tried one L'Occitane product you'll want them all. One of the best in my opinion, the shea butter body lotion and the little shea butter tin which I use as a lip salve, very rich and protective yet not sticky and greasy like all the other lipsalves I know. Yes it's a bit expensive but it's all quality plants, vegetal oils and fragrances, none of this nasty Parafinum Liquidum (petrolatum - which dries your skin more that moisturises it). The packaging is fuss-free and reminiscent of the old French provencal "Marseille Soap" - after all this all started in provence. Talking of smells their candles (and home fragrance range) is just to die for. I loooooooooove the "Honey Tart" and the "Frankinsense" and the "Fig" - they smell so true, not at all artificial. I wish I was rich enough to buy the whole range. Another recomendation before I have to stop...the relaxing shower gel in their Aromatherapy range - a winner. The range also includes haircare, 3 fragrances and cosmetics. Unfortunately they only have shops in London but they've just launched there web site where you can read all about their products and order them or ask for a mail order catalogue. It's at http://www.loccitane.net/uk/ Right, lets hope they read this and send me a lorryload ot free samples.

hopflower - 03.02.03 I should think you would want a lorry load! This is a wonderful line of products; and as you pointed out, for those who do not live in London the website can be accessed to order anything required. If only one could decide which to choose first! |
