L'Occitane mens after shave balm (L'Occitane in general)

Advantages: Softening face, Radiance/Healthy glow, pretty good value overall

Disadvantages: Not that easy to get hold of, middle to higher price

I am in my thirties and have recently gotten into using a spot of moisturiser after shaving.... started off using my wifes' oil of olay, and have moved through a few others including Nivea E10 to Clarins For Men (quite good but that's another review..!). I had seen that L'Occitane had a range for men on the www.miam-miam.co.uk store so I bought the after shave balm The price I paid was £14.50.

Smell-wise it is fairly masculine but pretty 'clean' smelling but the big thing I noticed was that it goes in easily (not sure of the terminoligy here 'goes in'!?) absorbed is probably the word I am looking for, and has definitely made my skin softer (improved my frown lines on my forehead) and more 'tought'. My partner used the word 'radiant', not sure if the cream is tinted but does give you a healthy glow.

Out of the 5 moisturiser I have bought over the past 6 months or so, the L'occitane after shave balm wins on both the 'softening', 'radiance' score and the silver tube looks pretty cool on the bathroom shelf. Although other reviewers have said L'occitane is expensive, this one comes in cheaper than the new Clarins range, but more expensive than say Nivea, so it's a bit in the middle on price.

For what it does, pretty good value. One of my top 3 I would say. Now, where did I leave my nail file..........
