Advantages: Gentle, Moisturising

Disadvantages: Bit more expensive than high street bath products.

Well actually as far as I can tell L'Occitane don't use asses milk. But they do produce a comprehensive range of bath products and I would like to tell you about the milk products in particular.

Both my children have fairly dry skin and my son is prone to bouts of excema. During bad flare up he only uses bath products from the doctor, but when his skin is settled it is difficult to find something gentle and moisturising to keep it that way.

So when I saw L'Occitaine milk bath recommended for sensitive and irritated skins on QVC I gave it a try.

L'Occitane is a range of skin and homecare products from Provence in France. They use vegetable bases in their products, no detergents, animal fats,or caustic soda.

The main active ingredient in the milk bath is shea butter. Shea butter is an oil extracted from the nut of an african tree. It is a pure ingredient and is very moisturising.

The foam bath has a gentle milky fragrance that is suitable for anyone male or female. It gives you plenty of small soft bubbles. Certainly not too girly as my nine year old boy wouldn't use it. I found that both my children benefitted from using this and it did not make my sons skin flare up.

Also in the pack was a bottle of shower cream and a bar of soap.
The milk shower cream is lovely, same milky fragrance, you only need a little to get a nice moisturising foam. As a bonus you can also use it as a shampoo so it's great for holiday packing or the gym.
The soap is also beautiful I use it to wash my hands but it is gentle enough for the face. It also contains shea butter and does not dry out your hands. The bar looks small but lasts for ages.

If you don't fancy milk they have many other fragrances in this range including lavender, rose, vanilla etc.....

I started buying my L'Occitane products from QVC and believe they are cheapest from them, but you can generally only buy the product
s in sets. This can be a problem if you use more bath foam than shower cream for instance.

The full L'Occitane range includes face care, hand and body, fragrances, mens products, specialist soaps and home lifestyle products such as linen waters and fragranced candles.

You can buy the full range from the L'Occitane website, the prices are a little more expensive than sets from QVC, but you have the advantage of being able to select the items you most need.

Available from QVC Sky television.
or qvcuk.com
Full range from loccitane.net

The price I paid for the milk set including..
500 ml of bath foam, 250ml of shower cream and 100g saop bar was £17.95
