This will probably be my final op on Dooyoo so it seemed a fitting last word (I'd better add - no the illness isn't my reason for going - sorry I panicked a few people - oops!!).... +++WHAT IS LUPUS?+++ Lupus is a chronic auto-immune disease, characterised by exacerbation's (called flares) and remissions. The body for some reason goes into overdrive - it basically becomes allergic to itself, the auto-antibodies attack the body's own cells and tissues. It can be triggered by a virus (that's what we think caused mine), long term medication, hormonal changes, there are a number of other factors that are suspected to cause Lupus. ...
