Advantages: Natural ingredients, good value, huge range.

Disadvantages: The nearest store to me is miles away!

Yes! I resisted the urge to use a cheesy pun for this opinion...that has to be a first. Lush, in it's present state is an overwhelmingly succesful beauty retailer that wins hands down on all its products.

Several years ago I was introduced to a place called "Cosmetics to Go" which I soon became addicted to, due to their amazing soaps, bath bombs, shampoo bars and much much more. Alas, the company collapsed and I was left stranded wondering where to get my next monthly pampering fix from. This was when Lush took over the company and I was saved. Much to my delight, the range of products grew larger and is still growing even today. They've gone global now, as well as having hundreds of stores in the UK, so there's bound to be one nearby.

OK, so there are numerous companies selling beauty products nowadays and why should Lush be any different? Well, two things count in my opinion and they're natural ingredients and value for money. The gems at Lush cosmetics somehow manage to offer both.

I won't list everything they sell, that would take too long, so I'll just add my thoughts on the products I've tried and like best. Oh and a lot of their products are suitable for vegans too.

Fizzy O' Therapy
----------------
A bath bomb (it fizzes in your bath) smelling of ginger, coriander and cinnamon to ease tension. Of its numerous ingredients, only two are synthetic (perfume and sodium bicarbonate) which are a blessing for my awkward sensitive skin. Then there's the price, £1.25...good value.

Mask of Magnaminty
------------------
This one makes you look like you just walked off the set of a cheap horror movie, but it's worth it. It's a clay mask which you can use on your face and back and it certainly snaps you out of tiredness due to its refreshing minty smell. After waiting for it to dry, it leaves your skin smooth and cleansed. A HUGE pot of this gree
n gunk costs just £4.95

Psychodelic
-----------
WOW! A slab of bubble bath which you crumble under the tap generously crammed with orange, cinnamon and sandlewood to make you smell amazing. These bars last several baths and only cost £1.35.

Choco La La
-----------
Now this is pure chocolate heaven, yet at the same time evil because it's so tempting to take a huge bite out of it. It's a massage bar, so get a willing person to sooth your troubles away. It literally melts in your hands and smells of oranges and chocolate. Several massage sessions for £2.55 sounds good to me.

All of the above plus hair colours, gift packages, shower gels, moisturisers and more...THIS is what makes Lush a must. Most things contain organic and natural products and everything is labelled so you know exactly what you're using. Visit one of their shops, order from their mail order catalogue or visit their website to experience a Lush pampering. If you're ever stuck for present ideas, treat someone else to Lush and they'll love you for it.
