Advantages: You can really pamper yourself
Disadvantages: You may have sensative skin for these products
After finding a Lush shop whilst out on a shopping trip the other day, I ended up purchasing quite a few bath ballistics. The bath ballistic's were the first things to get a good looking at in the shop, being a bath lover anything which bubbles, floats, scents or spices up my bath time is ok with me. The range of these ballistic's was huge, to buy all of them at once would put a hole into your bank account, but at 1.75 each for that little pampering or that special present for a friend, it's quite reasonable. Especially when you know everthing is natural ingredients. There were lots of new bath ballistic's too as Lush had just had a competition for people to design the ballistic's, the winner was Sex Bomb. This ballistic was a really nice pink and purple colour with a tiny paper rose in the middle of the top, the fragrance was jasmine and ylang ylang and other scents too, but having bought one of these I shaln't go into to much detail as the review of what I thought will be coming soon. other ballistic's on sale were Lemon days, Absolute Delight Phuket, Harvey and loads more. After a hard days work, I need to come home and jump in the bath, to sooth away the days stresses and strains. Having quite a few bath ballistic's to chose from, the colours and scents had me wondering for a few minutes which one's to choose and as this Sicilian one promised to revitalise and refresh, I opted for it first. The hot water was run and the bath ballistic was put in. Almost straight away the sicilian ballistic started to fizz, this was quite fun to watch as it moved around in the water, releasing it's orangy colour to the water, the scent was not to overpowering but quite subtle. I liked this because I am sensative to strong smelling perfume, which if it is too overpowering will make my nose run and that's not much fun. As the bath ballistic dissolved the water had become yellowy, litle bi
ts of petals were released into the water, these were marigold petals and then out popped this little piece of orange, which floated around in the water. As I lowered myself into the bath the scent of the oils began to work their wonders. The sicilian contains quite a few essential oils. Orange oil, which is used as a tonic. Tangerine oil which is used also as a tonic and to uplift the spirits. Maderin oil has also the healing properties simmilar to orange and tangerine with the ability of healing insomnia, stress and is a skin tonic. Neriol oil has a refreshing effect and is also a skin tonic. Bergamot has a antiseptic effect to heal skin problems and also helps to fight depression and stress. All the essential oils included in the sicilian work towards relaxing and refreshing your mind, body and skin. I love the idea of being able to enjoy a essential oil bath with a product which has combined the oils for a certain purpose, to refresh and as a tonic to the skin in the sicilians case. Overall impression of this bath ballistic is thumbs up. Although you have to rinse the flower pieces off the bath sides after bathing, it hasn't put me off buying and trying more things from lush. I'm heavily into natural cosmetic's and lush seem to have found a health balance with their products. The price of the sicilian was 1.95 which is not a costly price to pay considering the price of essential oils from the health shop and you don't have to spend the time mixing your own, lush have done it for you. Other thing in store are tea tree water, enhanced eye cream, skin drink and other facial cosmetic's. There were little testers to be played with and as you can imagine child in a sweetie shop springs to mind. Some of the bottles were very expensive, 7.99 each but you tend to pay a bit extra for the natural products anyway and as you don't always need to buy one of everything, the lush
facial cosmetics get a five star rating from me.They also had hair products too. I love the names of the products, skinny dip shower gel, dream wash, king of skin ect, all make you think of a good luxurious product to pamper yourself with. I would definately recommend Lush products to you, as a newbie to them I'll give them the thumbs up for fragrance, quality and wide range of products.
