What is different about this product over your tradional talc is the inclusion a tiny bits of cocoa butter, which soften the skin. I love this product after a shower (particularly goes well with Skinny Dip Butter Cream or Flying Fox shower gel), and dust generously, gently smoothing over the skin to delicately perfume it leave it wonderfully soft. As with most talcs, it can be messy o...more

Premium Review Lush Silky Underwear Dusting Powder: Every woman should have Silky Underwear (890 words)

As I said in my Candy Fluff review I happened to buy a few varieties of body powder and I'm so glad I did! For the few years I've been using them, I've been using them all year round and not just in the summer months! I am absolutely hooked with these and I hope Lush never stop making the product as I know me and quite a few other Lush followers will be deeply annoyed! Lush's concept for Silky Underwear is initially clever; a cornstarch-based powder that keeps you fresh, but it also contains grains of cocoa butter that moisturize the skin and keep it soft under the powder's clean veil. Depending on your needs, you can use it alone, or do what a sales assistant ...  Read the complete review

I love this stuff. Its the best thing to use if you can't be bothered to keep up your full-body moisturising routine in the winter (who's going to see it???) but you still feel a bit gross without something to keep your skin soft. It also has the added benefit of leaving the skin very smooth, so you can slip your clothes on very easily (unlike some moisturisers that I have found, your clothes tend to drag across your skin a bit). However, do not be tempted (as I was) to put this on after you have moisturised, as you will be left with an odd sort of paste that refuses to rub in. That said, this is a lovely product, just the thing for when you have to wear boring work ...  Read the complete review

For some people the thought of talc conjures up images of little old ladies, slippers, hand knitted cardigans and lace doilies with ornaments on, so wasnt sure what to make of Lush's dusting powder. I had been intrigued by the tubs whilst in the store one day and once I took a sniff of Silky Underwear knew I had to have it. It features one of my most favourite scents, jasmine. The product comes in a black cardboard tube, plastic lid, which turns to use product (so far tradional talc images) and cost £5.86 for 100g. This was the first Lush product I ever bought and it’s still my favourite. I love the name, I love the smell and I love what it does to my skin! What is it? Silky underwear is the name of one of Lush’s dusting powders. Use it like talcum powder, but it is far far superior to any talc I’ve ever used as it leaves your skin feeling amazingly smooth and soft! In with the powder are tiny bits of actual cocoa butter which smooth into your skin, to moisturise it, when you are applying the powder. Lush suggest it’s a perfect alternative to underwear, I cannot vouch for this – yet! ;) Why do I like it? It smells ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Silky Underwear Dusting Powder: Talc with cocoa butter (243 words)

This was the first dusting powder I bought, I don't use talcum powder at all because it makes my skin too dry, it really feels awful and then I have to drench myself in baby oil so I can stop cringing every time I move! I thought I would try this as it has tiny slivers of cocoa butter in it so it will moisturise the skin. When I opened the tub I could smell vanilla and jasmine but it was a very soft subtle smell, really nice and sweet but not overpowering. I made sure I was totally dry before applying this as I wanted it to go on smoothly and not clog. I decided to apply it using a big puff - the Benefit kitty one. It does feel ...  Read the complete review
