Newest Review: ... 30 miles away but on the odd occasion that I am in Edinburgh I make the point of visiting. Now I have very temperamental, senstive skin so I did not expect there products to help me. However after going in and talking with one of the shop assistants she produced 'ultra bland'. This is a cleanser with a peanut oil base (meant to help reduce acne scarring) and is as its name states very bland with no perfumes. She also recommended 'Dream Cream' as a mosituriser (this does smell a little funky). Both products are vastly superior to anything I have ever used before. My skin has never looked better. I have also recently been treated to ... more

Premium Review Lush skincare products in general: Truly amazing (252 words)

As in previous reveiws of Lush products I will admit that I beleived there products to be vastly over priced and avoided at all costs. I was so wrong. After reading many reveiws of how wonderful there products were I just had to give them a try. My nearest store is unfortunately 30 miles away but on the odd occasion that I am in Edinburgh I make the point of visiting. Now I have very temperamental, senstive skin so I did not expect there products to help me. However after going in and talking with one of the shop assistants she produced 'ultra bland'. Ah, Lush. Known and loved by millions (well, maybe not that many, but it ought to be.) Like most I was drawn into Lush by the smell which drifted across the street, and entranced by the bath ballistics, and - it looks like cheese! - soap. For a while that was all I considered buying, vaguely registering the unassuming black pots stacked in the corner. It's only since Lush opened in my home town - O happy day - that I've looked more closely at the skincare range. Up until recently I've been using Clinique's 3-step bloody expensive system, and was starting to find it horribly abrasive and irritating. My face would crumble up at the approach of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review TWINKLE, TWINKLE, WHERE ARE MY LITTLE STARS? (1101 words)
by - written on 07/02/03 (Very useful, 276 readings)

Lush produce a wide variety of toiletries etc which are all handmade and are made using only natural ingredients. I am slowly making my way through the bath products and have fallen in love with many along the way but one of my favourite products is the Lush Creamy Candy Bubble Bar. I was therefore pleased to learn that Lush have recently introduced a new soap called Rockstar which is fragranced using exactly the same vanilla perfume as the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar. Having read about the new Rockstar soap on the Lush website I couldn't wait to get my mitts of a slice so at the earliest possible opportunity I took myself off to the Southampton Store ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush skincare products in general: Fancy Some Stuffing? (600 words)

Herbalism is a relatively new product from Lush, introduced into their stores this year. It is a facial cleanser and exfoliator formulated for oily skin. Though I am in love with their Angels on Bareskin cleanser already and had no reason whatsoever to change, I never can resist anything new so thought I'd give it a try, especially as I have an oily to-zone over the chin, nose and forehead. Herbalism comes in clear plastic pots and you buy it by weight, with 100g costing £4.25. Lush begin their description of Herbalism with the words 'When you see this you may question our claim that our new skincare products are the most beautiful we have ever ...  Read the complete review
