Advantages: wonderful smell, prices quite reasonable, new products all the time to try
Disadvantages: sigh... there are none!
*Stop Press* Lush have introduced new soft making things!! See the bottom of this opinion ('cos I don't want to wreck the flow). Before we start I'll admit I'm biased. I love Lush, but that's because it's good, it's funky and heck it smells marvelous!! Best of all its products work. Here is my recipe for extra special soft skin that smells lovely. First skip over to the shower gel department. There you will find the most marvelous, the most yummy shower gel in all the world : Skinny Dip. It smells of cloves and cream and has little chips of white chocolate in it. Lovely and creamy. Pop it in your basket and then ... You might also want to pick up a tub of Almond and Coconut smoothie. Strangely this liquidy beige soap concoction smells very little of either almonds or coconuts but is instead an explosion of Vanilla! Very nice, but you have to use a huge splodge of it, so Skinny Dip is a better bet. Off to the soap section. Stop for a while and peruse the many fantastic colours and textures. Your quest here is for Honey Waffle soap. This soap is soo powerful (it smells of honey and ylang ylang) that for the first couple of days it is out of its packaging your house will smell of it. It is also lovely and softening. A beautiful yellow soap it's lovely to keep by the bath or just for simple hand washing. The other one you should keep your eye out for is Red Rice soap. This won't be hard as the soap is covered in a jacket of red wax. Very eye catshing! It contains in its bed of lovely almost coconutty smelling soap tonnes of little grains of rice which help to exfoliate. It can either really be used on your hands or just rub it over your bumpy bits for a good effect. Then soap in hand, it's time to find the perfect moisturizer. Potion. It's like smooth, soft velvety skin in a bottle. If moisturizers had a God or an ideal to aspire to, it would be this one. The smell
again is one of its best features, all carnations and lovely roses mixed in with a few cloves. Very fetching. It sinks into the skin almost immediately, expecially if you apply it straight after a shower and keeps your skin lovely and soft all day. Also a little tends to go a long way. My bottle has lasted my a good 6 months. It is really one of the few products that I have never felt I needed to change from. It does everything it says on the tin and more! My poor husband who caught athlete's foot used this to help clear up the skin once the fungus had been killed off and this did it a treat. Very useful and he didn't mind the smell or think it too girly. Now with your purchases in hand head to the till. There you might see some of the Lush lip balms. If you fancy it, try the Lip balm lite. The normal Lush lip balm tends to go quite hard unless it is warm. Lite lip balm tends to keep a better consistency and has a much better taste (slightly of citrus) and not only keeps your lips soft, but adds a lovely sheen. Hand over your cash. Be welcomed with open arms into the Lush community and be presented with a newsletter and hopefully a free sample (hooray!!!). Then you can head home, read about your products and dream of the trip you will soon take to buy bath stuff that will aid you in your quest for soft, smooth skin. ********************************************* The Mighty Lush Gods have smiled on us, and so we now have brand new Lush things to frolic in and enjoy!! They have given us: B never too busy to be beautiful shower gel Which has 4 different types of honey it in. It has this really musky, sexy honey smell to it and glistens like shining gold. And oh, but I'm nearly ready to abandon the lovely and mystical Skinny Dip for it. I should CoCo soap I looks like a giant coconut sweet and is all pink and white girly coconutty gorgeousness in a bar. The coconut also acts as an exfoliant an
d helps to smooth out rough patches. But beware, I was finding bits of coconut for the rest of the day in unfortunate places. Buffy the Backside Slayer This is a new thing called a skin conditioner. It's basically slid moisturizer, but they've put exfoliant into it to stimulate the circulation in the backside area and aid in the destruction (SLAYING!!) of cellulite (Hoorah!!). It works beautifully and makes your butt incredibly soft, though I'm not sooo sure on the cellulite busting properties, but it is early days yet. It's a bit slimy mind you as when it warms it becomes... soft.
