Advantages: Variety of flavours

Disadvantages: some of the flavours I dont like

I came across Lush in covent garden on a recent trip to London. The product that caught my eye was the huge array of soaps which were on display with lots of wonderful scents and ingredients.
The shop was full of lovely smells and as I saw this as a bonus to get something extra for my skin(and a present for my mum:))I had to pop in for a look around. The soaps were cut to different sizes and priced up according to weight and flavour much like cheese in a supermarket. The range of flavours was extensive including Lemon, fennel, chamomile, peppermint, Teatree, to name but a few and then there is also a whole host of massage soaps, shampoos, creams and lotions. Im sure the choice can keep you occupied for quite a time if your really into your skincare. I choose 2 blocks (lemon and figs and leaves) and got a free newspaper called the Lush times.

The newspaper contains details of the products on offer and there is an order form should you want to write an order. There is also a web address which allows you to order online. The newspaper is like a fanzine and encourages people to send in pictures of themselves and suggest names for new items. I think this is interesting and Im sure many people might be drawn into taking part.
The newspaper contains a key for people with allergies and products containing nuts.
I used the Lemon soap to wash my hands and it was a very addictive flavour. The lemon had milky vain's running between segments of Lemon which made up the block. The milky vains were almost like real vanilla ice cream with the smell of icecream very distinct in presence.
At first I asked to purchase purely for my mum but after smelling the soaps I decided I should get some myself. I think this was a good descision because I really like using them. They leave you feeling supple and are a joy to use with the different flavours and enhanced properties. I will be going to Lush again Im sure and I would suggest this as an alterna
tive when looking for skincare. I like variety and Im sure Ill use Lushes products again in the near future.

Can I also ad they don't use animal ingredients or buy from companies who use animal ingredients. To me this is more and more important in life as I don't want to support GM crops or genetically altered rubbish.

Summary: many organic choices you appreciate over supermarket junk
