OK, where do I start? MAC (which incidentally stands for Makeup Art Cosmetics) is a well known brand, particularly in the States and Canada. It sells cosmetics, skin care products, tools and fragances. I am not qualified to comment on the fragances as I have not tried any but let me tell you about the make up and the skin care products...... First of all, the reason MAC is so popular with make up artists is that the make up is of a very good quality, lasts well and there is a huge range of colours. Make up snob me. No two ways about it. Conference of class to ones life without all the related problems - enormous bank balances, weak chins, "relations" with relations..... A £7 bottle of nail polish in a sleek, minimalist container is pleasure bottled. More attainable than a Prada handbag - it at least makes me feel I have SOMETHING in common with Madonna... I am a bit of a make-up fan and whenever a new product is advertised on TV I am sucked in and have to try it. I also don't mind spending a lot of money on make-up as I feel it can make or break an image/look you're trying to acheive. I have a friend with very dark skin and she uses the MAC range, she reccommended them to me but I thought 'my skin tone is so different to hers that it won't look the same'...wrong.
