Overall

Marks & Spencers is a well known shop which can be found on most high streets. They sell a range of products from clothes and shoes to homeware and groceries. I have to say i am not a fan.

Stores
--------
Stores are often filled with old people (average age of shoppers must be 60+!) They are large and airy with wide isles for walking. The store is seperated into sections for ease of use. I think the store designs are quite appealing and reasonably modern looking.

Clothes
----------
Its a shame the modern theme doesnt continue onto the clothes line. Even the Per Una range looks dated and very few people under the age of 40 would wear it. The general selection is even worse with dated cuts of trousers and poor fit. Underware is slightly better but very expensive in comparison with other shops on the highstreet.

Food
------
Lots of additives in the food and very overpriced. I cannot believe the amount of e numbers in some of the food products. Cost is around 30% higher than tesco or asda. I have to admit though their organic wine is very nice (£5.99).

Overall

Not my kind of shop but maybe in 50 years i might be a changed woman!
