Advantages: Good quality childrens clothing.

Disadvantages: Can be expensive and a shame they do not have a more fashionable section for the women in their 20's

I tend to shop here for the children more than anyone although my local M&S do not have a large range. Unlike other shops they are not trying to make my 5 year old look like a teenager which I do appreciate, however I do think you sometimes pay a premium for this. The clothes tend to be expensive especially things like dressing up clothes or pyjamas that can be found cheaper elsewhere without loosing the quality. My children have had many things from here and they have always washed well and managed to look nice for a long time.

One thing that I do like is come August before the children are due to go back to school they have some really good offers on. They also do a wide variety of uniforms such as trousers for a good range of prices that should suit most budgets.

I also tend to shop here for my husbands jeans and trousers. As a shorter person he struggles to find anything that fits him. Even short length is most shops are too long for him. However, M&S really do mean short and they always fit him nicely. They have started doing a vast range of clothing items again to fit most budgets - no more to a pair of bog standard jeans cost you over £20 as they once did.

I don't tend to shop here for me other than for underwear. I find that as someone in their mid 20's the clothes are aimed at the more mature woman, I even struggle to find anything in the 'younger' Per Una. I think the only thing I may look for in Marks and Spencer for myself is accessories, hats etc for a wedding.

Summary: A good shop if you are not watching the pennies.
