Advantages: fragrance free, good service, wide choice of products

Disadvantages: none so far

Hello Dooyoo-ers, this is my first review so I'm a little nervous!!

I am the skincare queen - you name it and I've used it from clarins and clinique to cheapie brands. I'm a sucker for special offers in Boots and I'll by another skin cream even if I've already got ten at home

I've always had combination skin with a nasty habit of breaking out in big spots especially on my chin but I wouldn't say I've go particularly sensitive skin.

Anyway about 6-8 weeks ago I had a skin care crisis. I think that I was just using far too many different creams on my skin and it got a little out of control. I started to develop a rash - not a bright red one but little bubbly blisters under the skin - I knew they were there but nobody else may have spotted them. It started between my eyebrows and as the days went on it progressed across my forehead, down my temples, around my eyes and down the sides of my face. I was mortified!! I started to by different skin creams - Johnsons pH5.5, Boots No7, Total Effects fragrence free to name but a few but nothing improved it. I think the final straw was a No7 Positive action cleanser with AHA's - by this time my skin was constantly itching and felt taut across my cheeks. It felt like my face was consantly in a tight mask and I was in complete dispair. Being someone with normally combo skin this was an experience that I had never had before and I can now sympathise with folks with dry skin.

I hasten to add that I am not being critical of any of the above named products - this is all my own fault

Anyway I sometimes buy the Rosemary Conley magazine and they had a special offer on Martha hill products - this was buy a neck cream, face cream and body lotion for £12 which is quite a good saving. I have used Martha hill once before in the past but special offers in Boots had tempted me away as usual.

After a few days the said products arrived and I star
ted to use the face products straight away - instant relief - hurray!!!

I'm currently using the Intensive 24hr moisturiser - it is colour and fragrance free so I have been using it around my eyes as well. I have also since ordered some No1 cleansing lotion and these two products over the last two weeks have calmed my skin right down. My skin is now soft and smooth and the bumpy rash has completely disappeared. My make up seems to be lasting much better (you know that slide of the t-zone thing) and the tightness across my cheeks has gone too.

I have also been using some other things - Martha hill's Blackcurrant mask, honey treatment cream and rosewater tonic and none of these has set my skin off again

I will do more detailed reviews on these products but it's getting late and I really should go to bed.

I must say that I have been impressed by the quality of the products, the great catalogue they produce and the speed and efficiency of their service. I am keen to try other things in their ranges and will report back to you as and when
