Crowned Review Smooth Operator (811 words)

Most of us girlies can remember our first kiss, but how many can remember their first ever foundation? My first kiss was when, aged twelve, the farmer’s son awkwardly planted a kiss on my cheek as we romantically stood together on a cliff top overlooking the sea in the shadow of a crumbling Martello Tower on the Seven Sisters in Pevensey, Sussex. It was a good job I wasn’t wearing my first ever foundation, Max Factor Panstick in ‘Orange’ as he would have had to be surgically removed from my gunged and gloopy face! Max Factor Panstick thickly applied with a resulting tide mark ending at the chin. This image of myself along with the black ...  Read the complete review

Max Factor in general: Max Factor Lush Silks Mascara (168 words)

Max Factor Lush Silks Mascara has too be one of the best i've tries . Unlike all of the other ones i've tried it is really rich and stays on well all day with no flaky bits of mascara under my eyes that you get with some other brands . My eye lashs are quite short and fair , but when i apply Max Factor Lask Silks Mascara my lashes look long and luxurious . My favourite colour is Black Silk , the mascara costs 7 pounds which is a liitle more expensive then othe brands i've tried but it really does give much better results . A tip for applying mascara which i picked up is to look down into a hand mirror in a good light . Place the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review New Hypersmooth Foundation. (357 words)

Max Factor's new Hypersmooth foundation really does live up to what it promises on the packaging. Cold winds, central heating and smoky rooms can make you fouindation look blotchy in no time. If it's sticky and hot at a party your foundation is the first thing to suffer the effects. I always end up wiping my face, or rubbing my eyes as I tend to find my skin itching as my foundation starts to 'move'. That, of course, makes the problem worse. I didn't have that 'itchy' problem with the new 'Hypersmooth' foundation. It does actually stay in place and looks good even after three or four hours in a hot room. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Max Factor in general: HOW MOIST CAN YOU GET (391 words)
by - written on 20/01/02 (Very useful, 178 readings)

Sorry to keep on about cosmetics and other beauty products, but it's my favourite subject, well besides travel related stuff. I have to be very careful what I put on my face as I do break out in funny lumps, yuk!! Then last year, I decided to test a different product called Ultra Moist from Max Factor. As I get very dry skin around my nose, I thought this foundation would be ideal. I purchased it from T.J Hughes, which is a big department store round here, it sells all brand names at a discount. I got it for a bargain price of £2.99 for a 35 ml size, it costs around £6.00 in places like Boots the Chemist. As I do have sensitive ...  Read the complete review
