I first started using this liquid eyeliner from Maybelline back in 2006. I was looking for something different, something that wouldn't smudge or rub off as soon as I blinked!!! I didn't hit lucky straight away though, I tried a few other brand liquid eye liners and to be honest found them quite difficult to apply, either the applicator was too stiff and nearly ripped my eyeball out or it would just go everywhere apart from my eye!! Just as I was about to give up on the whole thing.... I found Maybelline Liner Express, a bit expensive when it came out (well, for an eye liner anyway!) but I thought I'd give it a go. Guess what, I havent looked back ... Read the complete review

I'm not really a make up sort of person. I don't know that much about it and when I apply it I invariably find it goes horribly wrong and I end up looking like a small child who has run amok in mummy's make up bag. The whole 'less is more' adage is generally lost on me. So normally I would avoid make up ops and stick to my fascination with skincare products and hair care. However I felt compelled to write this op because I hated this product so much and I feel the need to vent my spleen on a poor defenceless mascara! The mascara in question is Maybelline's new Lash Expansion Mascara. Maybelline (or Maybelline New York as ... Read the complete review

For my recent Summer Ball at uni I persuaded myself that I needed a couple of things, such as Hugo Boss woman perfume… Along with this perfume, I purchased the Maybelline Liquid Diamonds Lip Gloss. I noticed that it had a £1 knocked off it in Boots and just couldn’t resist; well, it was only £4.99. It looked so cute on the shelf, slim and small with silver lids and the prettiest, sparkliest stuff inside just twinkling at me and begging me to buy it. “Buy me, buy me!” It was crying out to me, so I did. My excuse is, I am a girl… Once I got it home I just had to open it up to see what it was like, even though I’d promised myself ... Read the complete review

It is my birthday today and one of the presents I got was the new Fruit Jelly Lip Gloss from Maybelline. I loved the look of the Lancome Juicy Tubes but then saw Maybelline were doing a version like it so I asked someone to get me it and I got it. There are about 5 different flavours, well shades but named after flavours. I got the strawberry flavour which smells like it and it's really fruity. To apply it you can either use a lip brush or your finger and you only need a little. It is quite thick and sticky but once it is applied properly it gives a nice glossy look and the colour really makes lips look fuller. The strawberry colour I used was subtle and ... I borrowed maybelline true illusion from a friend about a 2 years ago, and found it to have such a great effect that I immediately went out and bout it for my self. I personally use the true nude shade as this matches extremely well my quite fair skin. Though more expensive than I am normally prepared to pay for a foundation for it is £7.99 for a small container of 9.9g I always believe that a good foundation is worth the money. True illusion goes on effortlessly with little to no blending required it is a cream foundation in the pack though dries to a natural powder looking finish. The foundation covers up well the blemishes and spots that we would all rather ... Read the complete review
