Advantages: Easy to apply, long lasting, doesn't smudge, good price
Disadvantages: Not waterproof
I first started using this liquid eyeliner from Maybelline back in 2006. I was looking for something different, something that wouldn't smudge or rub off as soon as I blinked!!!
I didn't hit lucky straight away though, I tried a few other brand liquid eye liners and to be honest found them quite difficult to apply, either the applicator was too stiff and nearly ripped my eyeball out or it would just go everywhere apart from my eye!! Just as I was about to give up on the whole thing.... I found Maybelline Liner Express, a bit expensive when it came out (well, for an eye liner anyway!) but I thought I'd give it a go.
Guess what, I havent looked back since. I think it's by far the best on the market (and it's cheaper to buy now..yay!) So, heres just some of the reason why I love it....
1) Very easy to apply, the applicator is just the right shape and size One stroke and you've got great results. Gives you great control over how you apply it whether it be thickly or thinly.
2) Lasts a long time, wonderful staying power. Mine stays on til the end of the day easily, even if I rub my eye accidently!
3) The colour is rich and lovely shade... I use the brown one.
4) You can get lots of use out of one bottle, it lasts months before I need a new one.
Now, some more info.....
It is a liquid eyeliner which is easily applied and very long lasting in my experience, it does not irritate my eyes at all which some other brands seem to do, although the only downside is that it isn't completely waterproof.
It comes packaged in either a black or blue tube with the product name and trim in gold, although with time this tends to wear off.
This product is very widely available, I buy mine from a beauty shop on e-bay for just £2.75. I used to buy it from Boots or Superdrug but they charge anything up to £6 for it, all good Chemists and cosmetics store usually stock it.
It is available in four colours, True Brown (my favourite), Black, Pure Blue and Iced Chestnut. Unfortunately I've only ever used the True Brown one so can't really comment on the others!
Overall, I was impressed. I know this review may be a little behind it's time. But I just had to share with you what I think of it.
