Advantages: superb quality
Disadvantages: not widely recognised
I must admit up until about a month ago I had never heard of Miners and so was very sceptical to say the least! However after sampling some of their products I am surprised to say that it is very good quality and although it is not well known very good value for money.
My Gran had actually heard of them and since purchasing i have seen adverts in well-known magazines. I own a lipstick, eye shadow and nail varnish (with which i got a free case to keep them in.
Lipstick - This does look a little wired because I got a brown colour and it is kind of a marble effect with a really dark brown with swirls of cream, however it does apply with an even colour and leaves a superb finish. The only problem is that the colour doesn't stay on for a long time. It lasted about and hour before I noticed it was wearing off and needed reapplying. However it didn't 'bleed' into my lips and the surrounding areas lol which is a good thing. The fact that it needed reapplying didn't bother me that much because i like the just applied look and feel (perks me up lol) although for some women this may be a bit of a tome waster and so not the right product.
Eye shadow - I love the presentation box for this, it is sooooo good! It was a bit difficult applying the eye shadow, because it seems difficult to spread over the whole eyelid but it gave quite a good finish. It was rather glittery when i put it on which is not my type of thing anyway but not bad for a night out, it certainly get you noticed!! IT did last a long time and took a while to 'crease' and wear away which meant I didn’t have you fiddle with my eyes all day when wearing it.
Nail varnish - This had to be the better of the three products. Although it seemed slightly runny when applying the nail varnish it was easy to put on and dried surprisingly quickly. It needed a good two coats but that was no problem, as some other products have actually required thr
ee. It looked brilliant when it was dry, the colour was intense and it gave such a high quality finish. I think it took three days before the colour started to chip off and them it was only little bits at the end of my nails. I think it was a week before i needed to take it off and reapply some nail varnish. This was my favourite product. WARNING THE NAIL VARNISH DOES SMELL STRONG BUT THAT IS NOT ALWAYS A BAD THING..........
The free bag was rather tacky but for nothing i suppose you can't complain, however it did smell very strongly of rubber and there was a lot of room in it.
I would definitely buy a Miners product again and recommend it to anyone who has not bought them before and do not be put off by them being not well known!
