Advantages: Cheap price, lipglosses are good
Disadvantages: Nasty packaging, cheap products, nothing brilliant about them
Well, I found the 'Miss Sporty' range a few years ago and it is not one of my favourite makes, but neither is it so poor that I'd never use.
The range:
Miss sporty is a range of many different cosmetic products, these can range from powders and foundations, to lip balms and nail varnishes. Their range is all very affordable and therefore this is one of the key selling points for the Miss sporty range.
The price:
All Miss Sporty products are under £3, some you may find for just 99p, some for £1.99, etc. This makes it one of the most affordable ranges on the market. I genuinley think that the price does reflect the product, but I guess we get what we pay for and in times of the 'credit crunch' I guess it is a handy little range to pick up cheaply.
Avaliability:
This make is for sale in most cosmetic shops, including Boots and Superdrug. Miss Sporty isn't a huge range, like Max Factor or Rimmel for instance but does hold your average make up neccesities (sorry, I am a poor speller) like mascara, eyeshadow, foundation and nail varnish.
The range:
There isn't much to say about the range, it is what it is. The foundations/powders come in 3 shades, light, medium, dark, the nail varnishes also don't boast a huge colour range and only has one shade for each colour.
Packaging:
The packaging is pretty basic, with nothing that stands out. Most items are either packages in plain dark blue, light blue or pink each reading 'Miss Sporty'. It looks cheap, but as I said for the price you are paying we cannot expect too much!
My experience:
I haven't bought too many products from this range, but from what I have tried I am not overly impressed. I have tried the pressed powder in the shade 'Medium', it comes with a little round sponge, but I don't use this anymore. This is because when I did you don't get an even coverage and were left with very unattractive orange marks on your face.
I then used a blusher brush to apply and found that this picked up much finer amounts of the powder, so I used this, but I just found that the colour was very un-natural, and it didn't help they only came in 3 shades.
I have also tried the mascara and really did not enjoy using this. It was a very thick and gloopy mascara and the brush was very big but with few bristles on it. I thought I'd give it a go anyway. When applying I just found that it made my eyelashes very thick and stuck them all together. It didn't curl my lashes, they looked, fat and short and left horrible mascara marks underneath my eye sockets. Also the problem with this is that it didn't seem it dry so I was also left with what I call the 'dotted pattern' underneath my eyes from blinking, however my eyes felt dry and itchy, like they had been irritated.
I have also used the lipgloss which I found surprisingly very good. It wasn't thick and sticky, but left your lips coated in a lovely gloss. There wasn't a huge range of colours to choose from, a clear one, some peachy tones and some pink ones. I chose the clear as I thought it would go with everything. I really liked this product and as it was at such a bargain price, I have bought it again since.
My experience has been really mixed with these products, and I am still not that keen on these products, but if you are a bit strapped for cash, I suppose they are ok, but I am not going to be buying all my make up from here any time soon.
Summary: I am not in a massive hurry to buy anymore of these products
