My youngest son has had a squint in his right eye since a very early age, it was first noticed when he was around three years old. He was refered to the hospital and they examined his eyes, they said that his sight was very poor and that they might need to operate, but they wanted to try patches first to see if this would improve his sight. Patches So they give me about four boxes off patches to start me off, and sent me to an optician with a prescription to get his glasses made up. My son who is six has a squint he has had it since he was born at first we thought it would go away but it did eventally he was referred to an eye clinic who diagnosed he had a squint but offered no treatment except for a further appointment we went regular but still nothing was done meanwhile his squint was getting worse. It was highley visable when he looked at me his right eye looked the other way people said nasty things to him an adult called him bog eyed its not his fault he was prescribed eyepatches to wear on his good eye which in turn would make his lazy eye work or so we thought .
