I've been having problems with Acne for around 2 years now. I'd been bullied at school and i had just given up and ask my mum to take me to the doctors. at this point i had a mid- extreme case of acne. The doctor (who also works in the dermatology department at the local hospital) recommended many different antibotics and cremes, eventually i decided to go on Dialette which is a pill that also helps with skin. none of these made a huge difference, they improve acne on my face, but no my back, these seem to be getting worse, the back was the worse part for me, as i have done dancing from a very young age, which means showing my back off alot. the last time i went to my doctoer he suggested going to the hospital and possiblely taking Roaccutane. After waiting 3 months for an appointment i finally got one last week. I saw a really nice doctoer who to my delight suggested Roaccutane. He gave me a prescription for the drug, i was to take 50mg of Roaccutane daily. He said I will need to be on it for 4 Months and will need check ups every 6 weeks, if i was 16 or it would be every month.

I had the Blood test done this morning and the result will be in by tomorrow then if everything is ok can start my course of Roaccutane, after reading about the side effects i am worried but im going to get myself some Vaseline and moisturiser for the dry skin.

Has anyone got any advise for me??

first stay away from Vaseline in any shape or form! Eat healthy: no sugar or fat, no fizzy drinks etc. Try tea tree, is an essential oil you can mix with sunflower oil in proportion to up to 3% for face and 7% for the rest of the body, you should google more on this. Take vitamins like cod liver oil. Oh bloody hell, I will just make a review about this! lol
