I have had angina since I was very young , possibly in my teens as the chest pain I get has been around for over 40 years now . I have a GTN spray to use when I can , unfortunately my angina is the nasty sneaky sort , most people get an attack and thats that , Oh no granny here has to be different and mine comes in waves . I always liken it to the film 'alien' because at times I've been sure that something will brake out of my chest and look up at me saying ' Ah , its you I've been trying to escape from all these years ' !!!!!! Angina can be very painful, but a good diet and plenty of exercise can help relieve alot of the symptoms. I suffer from this disease and I smoked over twenty cigarettes a day until I got wise to that trait.Giving up the weed was difficult but necessary. I have to take beta-blockers to open up the blood vessels and relieve the pressure on my heart, And some potassium activators, to relieve the symptoms when I do suffer an attack. The trick to handling an attack is to stay as calm as possible,its very frightening,but to get into a panic just escalates the attack.I tend to breath into a paper bag after taking my spray it helps calm me down and I ...
