I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 11 years old,I never fully understood it at that age as I do now.I am now 24 yrs old and still have asthma but I continue to be disgusted by the fact I have to pay to breathe on a monthly basis.I have to have 2 different kinds of medication which I am sure you will agree adds up to a small fortune,I do not understand how all asthma sufferers are expected to pay for their medication as it would cost more on a monthly basis to be taken into hospital and treated for this condition then to have free prescriptions for them. Its not only that but the fact an asthma attack can be the worst feeling ever, if I should ever forget my medication when out unless helped it is possible I could die, thankfully I can say I never have forgotten it.Asthma can be a killer just like diabetes. I think maybe we would change this for the better by writing to our local mps wherever you are,it may help ,I hope so.
