My Experience of FibromyalgiaNewest Review: ... lack of energy and a few others that i did not get), another thing i thought was i might have anaemia. I told the doctors my symptoms and she diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. It was then when i read up on the symptoms of FMS that i realised that other things (symptoms)that i thought were normal to everyone else in the world that they were in fact FMS symptoms. i.e. disturbed sleep, irritable ... more |

I was diagnosed with this condition about three years ago. I have suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome since i was 17 (i am now 28). I can remember noticing since I was 20 that I started to struggle with energy. I did put it down to laziness, i used to think i just must be lazier than everyone else and that everyone else must still feel the same as me but force themselves to get up and go. Not me, i found that going to uni was a big struggle, i would nearly fall asleep in most of my classes. I did not go out as much as my friends too. I would rather curl up on the settee and watch TV. This gragually got worse when I was about 24. I started to notice my body ached more ... Read the complete review

Fibromyalgia update. ******************************************************* After being in agony for nearly a month I became pain free after 2 hours how:I went back to using a Coghill super magnet yesterday, and within a couple of hours my pain had virtually gone.I would like to mention additionally ,that along with most vitamins I have also been taking cod liver oil, because we dont absorb calcium without it ,and of course we need sunshine, when we can get it:)I also ,accept for having a little pain about 3 a.m.,which I think was an aggravation (when we should remove magnet,)......it went away then. Sadly this also means that frequently people don?t believe that there is anything wrong with you. Let me just say here that Fibromyalgia (often referred to as FMS or Fibro) and ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) are very closely linked to my mind. I was diagnosed as having FMS five years ago, I have also had the label ME placed upon the same illness, and my mother who 5 years ago was diagnosed with ME, has more recently been told she has FMS. This, ... Read the complete review

I have just been diagnosed with a condition called fibromyalgia. I have been suffering for 8 months now and was told by all the doctors that I was having panic attacks and it was al in the mind. WHAT IS IT? Well it is a type of rheumatism which effects ligament and tissues, not the joints. It cause a patient to feel very tired and can be very painful. There are no outward signs if a person has it and it is difficult to diagnose. It takes a good GP to recognise the illness. Mostly it is rheumatologist who gives the diagnoses. CAUSE: They are not really sure of the exact cause. The disease is similar to ME (myalgic ... Read the complete review

Here’s a simple test you can do yourself. With your thumb and all four fingers, reach across your chest and firmly squeeze the back top of your shoulder muscle near the base of your neck. Squeeze modestly but until it hurts…and then squeeze a bit more. Maintain that pressure. Now, consider living with that sensation, not only in your shoulder, but throughout your entire body, day after day, year after year. If you are able to do that, you will have some understanding of the quality of life an individual who must endure the symptoms of Fibromyalgia. I first read this on (www.ukfibromyalgia.com) about four weeks ago, and broke down ... Read the complete review
