I have pretty much had Hayfever all my life, I was diagnosed at about 5 or 6 years old, my mum was told that hayfever is an allergic reaction to pollen, however at that age I could`nt remember the symptoms, but as I got older the symptoms started to really bother me. Signs of my hayfever starting The first sign that my hayfever was starting was an itch at the back of my throat then it was the sneezing, the itchy red eyes and the runny nose. It was like having a cold only with itchy eyes as well. Medication So each year I would go to the GP and he would give me my usual medication which is Rhinocourt Nasal Spray, Opticrom ... I only really recognised the fact that I had hayfever when I was in my late twenties though looking back I seem to remember getting 'summer colds' quite regularly so it has probably been lurking around all my life really. I can't put my finger on what triggered it off either, maybe it was just a particularly high pollen count that year. Anyway, it started with the itchy eyes and nose, rapidly followed by almost constant sneezing, often so bad I could hardly draw breath between sneezes, then watery eyes and a runny nose.Yuk! After just a few minutes of this carry on my eyes would become so puffy that I could barely see,my head would ache ... Read the complete review

There. I actually did just sneeze when I was writing that title. ~eugh~ It's mid July and as if they riots that are now an integral part of the marching season in Northern Ireland aren't bad enough, I have to put up with what comparable to a 3 month flu. Hayfever (Seasonal Allergic Rhinits or SAR) is caused by pollen in the air, hence the pollen count being shown on weather forecasts during the summer. It seems that the average count gets higher every year. The season is supposed to run from May to August but personally mine is usually from April to September/October time. I've had hayfever all my life, and have been on tablets since I ... Read the complete review

My Experience of Hayfever, what a great topic to write about! I’m sitting here with a runny nose as I’m writing this and I’m sure whoever else writes in this category will also be in the same boat as me! So, as this is about my experience of the dreaded allergy I suppose I better get on with it! - WHAT IS HAYFEVER Well, I’m sure we all have an idea as to what hayfever is. Some more than others, but in my mind hayfever is the suffering of an allergic reaction to pollen and heat. I say heat because this is my experience and I experience hayfever at it’s worse when it’s hot. Hayfever effects about 2-3 million ... Read the complete review

Everyone looks forward to the summer. Hot weather, lying in the park, going to the beach, having barbecues and garden parties and wearing little more than T-shirt and shorts. Yes, I love the summer too, except for one thing. I spend each and every day with a nose like Rudolf, itchy eyes and blotchy skin. Very attractive to the opposite sex, especially when upon being asked my name and I have a sneezing fit so strong that the entire contents of my nose decide to show themselves by running sexily down my chin! (Yes it has happened, and no I haven’t seen him again!) Hayfever makes my summer hell! Hayfever is a common allergic condition which usually ... Read the complete review
