Ive been searching all over the net to try and find personal stories about this condition, only to find calous and contradictory medical texts. Finally someone who's actually been through it. Although i myself am not going through this condition, my girlfriend, who i am besotted with is. Having read and commented on one or two of the personal experience stories on DooYoo, I got to thinking about writing my own. I’m a little wary as I’m not the sort to open up about my feelings and this certainly isn’t an experience I’ve discussed much in the past. There are many different cancers. Mine is of the immune system, more precisely the lymphatic system. It's called Hodgkin's Disease and it attacks, you guessed it, the lymph glands, the same glands affected by glandular fever. I was just heading off to Brighton for a raucous weekend with lots of friends. I was all packed and all excited, all ready to go. It was going to be great.
