... to get cigarettes. Okay, you can go without bead, coffee, milk, etc but you can't last the day without a cigarette. The power that nicotene has over you is unbelievable. I would break into a cold sweat and start to panic when I realised that I only had a few cigarettes to last until the morning. I eventually stopped because of the cost but also because I was suffering from very bad bronchitis each winter. I must admit that fighting this addiction was perhaps the hardest thing I have ever done. It is now five year...more

Premium Review My Experience of Smoking Addiction: Smoking makes your cough better. (823 words)

Smoking. Smoking makes your cough better. Or at least so I used to joke, when I used to cough, not that I had much of a smokers cough, I guess I was lucky that way. Lets get one thing out in the open straight away, I *used* to smoke, so this opinion is going to be coming from a ex-smoker, but hopefully It wont go on and on like some reformed smokers do when they talk about the habit. At the height of my smoking I was on more than 40 cigarettes a day. That's a lot of fags (come on folks I cant be bothered to keep typing cigarettes all the time), and its also a lot of money to spend each day. When I was a lot ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Once an addict, always an addict! (427 words)

I was a nicotine addict for over 40 years and to some extent I suppose I still am. I started smoking when I was ten years old because I thought it was the cool thing to do. It didn't take long before I actually needed to smoke. It stopped being something rather 'naughty' that I need and became something I craved. Something I had to do. This went on and grew in intensity over the years. At first I smoked a couple of cigarettes each day and I ended up going through two packets, or forty tipped cigarettes each day. The addiction is so powerful that a smoker will go out in all kinds of weather to get cigarettes. Okay, you can go without bead, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review My Experience of Smoking Addiction: Smoking kills, but still I smoke (498 words)

Smoking kills, I know that. But I still do it. Why? Because I' addicted, that's why. Maybe I'm too weak to give up and just haven't got the will-power to give up. God knows I've tried. I even went to see a stop smoking advisor a few months back to help quit, but I'm still smoking. She prescribed Zyban, but it didn't work on me. I started smoking at the age of 16 when I was still in school - just before I left actually. Me and my friends were very naughty and used to go into the loft of the school and smoke! Yes, really, we did! (We used to climb up the ladder at the side of the gym!). How we never got caught I'll never know! So that was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Yes its addictive but get it into perspective!  (316 words)

Smoking-some people love it and some people detest it! Tobacco is not going to disappear for a long time no matter how many people they show on tv with tubes up there nose or ex smokers talking about how they had there lung hacked out due to smoking! I do not expect to win any praise for this review because it goes against societies view towards smoking. Smoking is highly addictive dont start! Thats what I sometimes have to read on my cigarette packets. Internally I laugh at these little statements not because they are not true but because so many other things cause addiction. Lets look at a huge corporation that has got away with selling an addictive unhealthy ...  Read the complete review
