Advantages: a great refreshing, clean feeling

Disadvantages: dodgy conditioner

Original Source are an Australian company who make various kinds of
soapy bathtime products, such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel
and bath foam. According to the blurb on the bottle, the company
was set up by Ellen Wakeman in 1857, who ran away from her parents
to join the gold rush, became a barber's apprentice and discovered
the secret of healing herbs.

Whether this is true or not is not really here or there - the
products are all that matters. And they are good. No, they are, on
the whole, _really_ good.

The first time I encountered Original Source, it was the Original
Lime Source shower gel. And that shower was the most refreshing
shower I had had up until that point - and probably right up until
I tried the Original Mint Source shower gel.

If the fruit flavour ones were refreshing, the mint products were
absolutely inspirational. The mint range includes mint and tea-trea,
mint and eucalyptus and pure mint. I've tried all three, and they
are all great. The shampoo gives a strange cold feeling, which,
when you rinse it off with warm water, gives a delightful tingle.
The shower gel gives your whole body a slight tingly numbness, like
a mild anaesthetic. It's strange, but very very pleasant.

The only problem I have had (there's always one) is with the hair
conditioner. This was the first Original Source product I bought
myself, and I was terribly disappointed. Yes, you still get the
lovely tingle and cold feeling as with the shampoo - but it is very
very difficult to wash out. This means that you are left with a
slight sticky feeling to your hair. I actually took to conditioning
my hair then lightly washing it out with shampoo - which kind of
defeats the object a little.

My overall advice would be to stock up on the products - but to
leave the conditioner and mix and match with a different brand.

I've just started using the tea tree & mint shave gel - my face is still tingling now! Good stuff!

I don't wear perfume either, I was asking for my daughter...she loves the 'smelly' stuff. I think I'll get some for her and she can give it a go. Thanks:-)
