time to get lippy (Other Avon Cosmetics)

For a start off this lipstick was a bit of a bonus as I got it for free with a book that I bought from tescos. My initial reaction was to chuck it away as it wasn?t my colour, but my skin was looking a bit pale so I thought I try and brighten up my face and tried it on.

The colour I got was called misty and it is a browny red colour. I applied the lipstick and it felt very creamy in texture and it tasted really nice, not like that horrible synthetic taste you normally get. Once applied (and I only did it the once) it had a lovely even sheen appearance, not sparkly but not matt either. I thought no more about it.

The reason I had to write this review is because I was very surprised at how long this lipstick actually stayed on for. I did no preparation prior to applying it but 6 hours later I noticed I still had colour on my lips, not as much as at first however but definitely a hint of colour on my lips. When I was brushing my teeth later that night I saw that the colour was still there! It seemed to have stained my lips but again it didn?t look bitty or worn. I was very pleased by this as to get a lipstick to stay on this long normally costs over a tenner and they don?t do what they say and you have this horrible bitty effect on your lips.

Another thing I noticed was that it didn?t seem to stain everything I touched, likes fags and glasses which is normally the case so another brownie point here!

Now I got this for free so i thought I?d check out the website and see how much it costs as normally youre looking at a tenner for a decent lippy. To my surprise it was only a fiver and has an offer on currently which is 2 for 7GBP! Bargain or what! The lipstick comes in 15 colours from pink to red and everything in between. It comes in a light green and white box if you?re looking for it, kind of like the clinique colours.
