... to review here - will set you back about a fiver for 150ml. Other products in the range include a very expensive crème bath, and talcum powder. The shower gel comes in a small thin cardboard box, with all the product details on the outside. Inside, the bottle is a jade green colour and about the height of a small ruler, 15 cm. It’s shaped like a squashed cuboid – a shape I’m sure has a technical name, but I can’t for the life of me remember it – trig classes ceased a long time ago in ...more

Crowned Review Other Bath & Shower: Keep rubbing, I aint done yet! (835 words)

After a recommendation from Gill1960 in her opinion on the same subject today, I went to the chemists (because I get 20% off all purchases there, what can I say, I’m a damn nice guy!!) and bought myself a bottle of Adidas Energising Shower Gel. It cost £2.59 before my discount, so it could be a little on the pricey side, but compared to a lot of womens products out there, not all that hard on the old back pocket! I must admit, I don’t usually use shower gel, I’m normally quite happy with a bar of good old soap, but when it was mentioned that this had a really nice, long lasting fragrance, this was for me! The fragrance I chose was ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Baths aren't always bottled, or bubbled. (2062 words)

Baths are glorious things, you know. They aren't just for the prosaic necessity of cleansing yourself (although it's a handy by-product of having a bath), they're for thinking, reading, wallowing, or just having a bit of time to yourself. They're great for soothing blues away when you're sad, and they're great for refreshing yourself at the end of a hot, sticky day. They're lovely when you're pregnant, and carrying more weight on your feet that you ever thought possible, and they're super when you've children and need a moment to yourself. If you're tired after work a bath can refresh you, and if it's 2am and you ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Other Bath & Shower: Fantastic Fenjal (850 words)

Last Christmas, as at most gift giving occasions, I got the usual assortment of smellies to go with my chocolate and books and odd pair of socks. At the time though, I already had a lot of shower gels stockpiled in my room, and so these newly received ones were left behind in Lancashire when I went back to uni, only to be discovered 8 months later when I was packing to come here. Although I knew Germany, as with most somewhat-civilized nations, sells things like this, and actually has quite a good selection, that didn’t stop me bringing as much as I could with me. Who knows, the house could have been blown away in the storms, or burgled by thieves with a shower gel ...  Read the complete review

Me being a miser with money I buy shower products that have to be used by the whole family. Do I really care if my husband smells like a woman when he uses the family shower wash. It’s two females against one man in our house, so we win hands down. That was until my elder daughter came to visit. You know what it’s like when your grown up kids go to the bathroom, they have a good nose around the bathroom and the cabinet. Why I do not know. My daughter came downstairs after visiting the bathroom and asked a simple question. Why hasn’t Dad got any mens' toiletries? I explained to her it’s one for all. The very ...  Read the complete review

Having recently been introduced to Lush Bath Ballistics, (bath bombs), I decided to check out the Body Shops selection as a comparison. As I entered my local Body Shop I immediately noticed the attractive display of pastel coloured bath bombs next to the till and made my way over. There were about half a dozen different fragrances and colours available including Moonflower, Oceanus and a Coconut scented bath bomb. Having read a couple of disappointing reviews about the Coconut fragrance I picked each one up in turn and had a good sniff to see which scent I preferred, having sniffed them all I decided to purchase the Moonflower fragrance. ...  Read the complete review
