Adidas Performance is a new line of body care products designed to be used by men and women. So, there's no more 'his and hers'. It's a free for all and the bottles in the bathroom are 'ours.' This range is supposed to take into account the body's physiology and provide excellent hygeine standards. It incorporates active compounds (better know as chemicals, but described in this way by the manufacturers.) I quote from the manufacturers blurb: 'The effective minerals and skin friendly botanicals are all tried and tested to optimise user benefits.' I think this means that they work okay. One thing I can deffinately say about this range is that the fragrance is clean, fresh and zingy. It makes you feel awake and ready to go! The clear shower gel leaves the skin feeling clean, fresh and slightly tingly. (A sign of a good shower gel as far as I'm concerned.) The body wash is a cream which cleanses the skin in a much more gentle way. It leaves it feeling soft and moisturised. The fragrance is a strong citrus one which doesn't stay very long before it fades. Adidas Body Wash and Shower Gel come in plastic bottles which have a curvy shape. The tops are actually quite unusual in that they aren't symetrical. The Shower Gel comes in a grey/lilac bottle with the 'Adidas' logo on the front. It says on the bottle that it is enriched with minerals and designed to revitalise. You get 250mls for 2.39 and I found it lasted ten days. (That's with daily use.) The Body Wash is enriched with protein (it says that on the bottle), and is designed to hydrate the skin. It costs 3.39 for 250mls and it lasted me about the same length of time as the Gel did. In my opinion the Gel is value for money and it is pleasant to use. However, I thought the Body Wash was expensive for what it was and I found it tended to sli
de over my skin so I'm not convinced about its 'hydrating' properties. Neither of these products made a great impression on me and I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase either of them. Maybe Adidas should stick to making trainer shoes!
