Advantages: Smoothes skin/exfoliates, easy and quick to use, smells nice

Disadvantages: can be a bit expensive for daily use

I first discovered this when I smelt the gorgeous smell coming from the bathroom after my mum had used her pot of Botanics Smooth Skin Body Polish. It was a very natural smell but one that gently lingers for ages.

After finding out what it was, I decided to get some, as I liked the “polishing” idea!
The Botanics range is made by Boots so obviously only available there, and on the wellbeing.com website. Boots also make Natural Collection and Skin Kindly ranges.
The Botanics range is very original as it uses some natural ingredients, although looking at the ingredients list, there are quite a few long, unpronounceable names in there!! Botanics also make make-up removers, foot treatments, deodorants, natural oils, hair products etc for men and women.

The Botanics Smooth Skin Body Polish comes in a 250ml and cost me £2.99. The pot is clear plastic with a silver lid which continues with the natural theme throughout the range. The pot says “with skin-nourishing aloe vera and ground nutshell smoothes, softens and brightens”.

The actual body polish as I said before smells nice but doesn’t look so good! It’s a pale green “gunk” with bits of the ground nutshell in it for exfoliation purposes.
As it is in a tub, you have to scoop it out with your hand, which can be a bit annoying as you drip water into the tub. I find it works really well though. I use a shower puff with it and this makes my skin feel really smooth and refreshed. Apparently the aloe vera speeds up cell renewal as well as moisturising, smoothing and rejuvenating-I can believe that! The nutshell grains are fairly small so they don’t irritate even my sensitive skin. It’s important to wash it all off though as I find my skin gets itchy if I leave any on! I also use this on my face as it freshens up my skin. This shows how good it is for sensitive as my face is intolerant to many products!

The pot says &
#8220;Bath Botanics” but I like using this in the shower as an alternative to shower gel. It is also really good for preparing the skin before shaving or applying fake tan as it removes the dead skin cells. These pots last for quite a while although I try to alternate with shower gel sometimes or I probably couldn't afford to buy it all the time!

This is one of my favourite products and I will continue to buy this as long as they make it I hope! It works really well and if you don’t mind the gunky appearance go get it! :op
