Advantages: soft and shiney hair, protects hair from damage from sun, sea etc.
Disadvantages: you have to persevere, as the effect gets better with use
everyday life! For all of these activities, I highly recommend Boots Sun and Swim hair shampoo, conditioner, 2 in 1 and other products. I recently took up swimming when I took on the challenge of a triathlon. My hair is shoulder length, brown, not dyed, straight and of medium thickness. Normally I use Pantenes Classic care 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, but with swimming twice a week, my hair became lank, dry and smelly! When fed up with my grumbling away in lectures about my tatty split ends, my friend recommended Boots sun and swim. So later that day and trundled down to Boots and bought the shampoo. Not only that but I bought the conditioner and the 2 in 1 as well....there was a 3 for 2 offer, and that plus the added incentive of Advantage Points I couldn't resist this fantstic bargain, all for £6. BUT, I was bitterly disappointed...so much so that after 2 washes, I was considering taking the whole lot back. The condition of my hair actually got worse....not only was it dry at the ends from swimming but it was gluey at the roots from this dreadful product. And before you comment, yes I did make sure I had washed all the conditioner out....that was my first thought but I made sure it wasn't to do with that. But fortunately I saved myself the embarrassment as I continued using the shapoo/conditioner because after about 5 days washing, my hair suddenlly regained some life. No more dank scraggles hanging off my shoulders. And after frequent washing for 3 weeks, my hair is soft and shiney. I am so pleased with this product! The shampoo is bright blue (very exciting!) and very runny, much more so than I am used to. It doesn't really have much of a smell, but it works well to get rid of any last trace of chlorine! The conditioner is pearly blue and thick - it actually takes a bit of strength to squeeze it out of the bottle!! Use lots of it! But it doesn't hurt too much when you get it in you
r eyes....and it hasn't been tested on animals!! They also do 2 in 1 stuff....I bought this for my holiday and it is just as good as the separates. There are also sprays and waxy things to put on your hair prior to going swimming, but I haven't tried them. It strikes me that they would make your hair look dreadful although they would probably save it in the long run...I would probably only use this if I became a diving instructer or something. Their range comes in special formulas for dyed hair, frequent use, permed hair etc. It's marvelous!! So my advice is to go and buy some now - it'll be great for the summer to get rid of salt and sand and chlorine but it is also a really good shampoo, so even if you don't go near beaches or water, go and buy it anyway...you'll see a real improvement in your hair!
