Other Electric Hair Styling ProductsNewest Review: ... clips, a comb, 2 different sized brushes, the main 'wand' and a picture instruction booklet with very clear instructions. Great I thougtht!!!! Lets get to it. It claims to straighten ANY type of hair, from African to English, removing frizz and working VERY quickly. I have shoulder length English hair, which is also very fine and silkyand my daughter has very long African hair, which is VERY curly. When I use the brush, it quickly tangles in my hair and I can only use it on the very ends, or it 'clicks' all the time and does nothing. After repeated attempts over several days, all it did was to generate more static in my ... more |

After watching how easy it was for the barber to shave my grade 1 hair and then cringe giving him £4 for his relaxed job, I thought it?s about time to give this ?art? a try. Searching through the catalogue (lazy I know!!) I came across the Remington Barbershop clipper set. The main features that grabbed my eye straight away were the video on ?How to cut your hair? and basically the fact ?Barbershop? was mentioned in the title. CONTENTS 1 x of clippers (handy, obviously) 1 x video 1 x lubricant (for the blades?) 1 x cleaning brush (blades again) 6 x grading attachments (grades 3, 7, 9, 12, 18 and 25mm) 1 x pair scissors (for ... I've just bought my very first hair-straightening device! I feel like a traitor to my curls. But the thing is, yesterday I went to the hairdressers for a trim, and she decided to dry it straight...so after much head pulling and steam, I had beautifully straight hair. I couldn't believe it. All these years I thought that if my hair suddenly went straight I would look like a freak. But turns out the effect is more sex kitten, with my highlights looking lighter, and the feathering around my face beautifully framing it. Oh god, what do I do now?? Well, plan A, stick to what you've got - I'm not going to be one of those girls who takes their ... Read the complete review

Unfortunately, I have fine hair. It's the bane of my life. I've always wanted thick curly hair, reminiscent of Julia Roberts in her older films, but it wasn't to be. So I have to work hard to keep my fine hair in a style. I always use a styling mousse anyway for blow drying it, but I felt I needed more. Curling tongs just seem to curl the ends or go the other way and give me tight old fashioned looking curls. When my Boots Advantage Card points added up to the right amount, I went looking for a styling brush. The one that stood out - OK, it was an eye-catching box! - was Charles Worthington's Big Hair bristle brush airstyler. I ... Read the complete review

Most of my hairdryers have blown up over the years. The usual scenario - you're sitting drying your hair and sparks fly, the smell of burning hair hits your nostrils and you suddenly realise that you will have to face the day with mad hair because your hairdryer has packed in. Well the last time that this happened my mum went off and bought me the Philips 1600 Silence Hairdryer which has since turned out to be a long-lasting buy. It was about 3 or 4 years ago now and there have been no signs of trouble. (As yet!) This is not a salon style hairdryer(they are usually quite big and heavy) so it is light, and you do not get sore arms if you're spending a ... Read the complete review
