Advantages: Gives body and curls when needed, Easy to use, Good name behind it
Disadvantages: None
Unfortunately, I have fine hair. It's the bane of my life. I've always wanted thick curly hair, reminiscent of Julia Roberts in her older films, but it wasn't to be. So I have to work hard to keep my fine hair in a style. I always use a styling mousse anyway for blow drying it, but I felt I needed more. Curling tongs just seem to curl the ends or go the other way and give me tight old fashioned looking curls. When my Boots Advantage Card points added up to the right amount, I went looking for a styling brush. The one that stood out - OK, it was an eye-catching box! - was Charles Worthington's Big Hair bristle brush airstyler. I have heard of the name and I know that he has his name on shampoos and styling products, but I don't know much else about Charles Worthington and unable, even, to look on Dooyoo for an opinion about it as I had to make a snap decision, I decided to buy it and hope for the best. It comes with a large brush and a smaller brush. It is very easy to use and the brushes just clip on and off when you need them. As my hair is bob length, I found that either brush was fine for me. Ladies with short hair will probably want to use the smaller brush, especially if their hair is layered,, whereas the large brush will create curls and waves for longish hair. I have only used it on dry hair so far (you would normally use it on damp, but not soaking wet, and use the hot air brush as a hairdryer) but I was very impressed. As I said, I blow dry my hair, but the Big Hair brush gives it that little bit extra that I need for volume. There are three heat setting, from cold to hot, to hottest, plus two speeds and it's easy to vary the heat whilst you are actually styling the hair. What I especially like about having a product like this, is the ability to use it instantly whenever you like. It doesn't have to warm up, unlike a curling tong; the heat is instant, like a hairdryer. You just
switch it on and the heat comes out through the brush. Only this morning I used it when I was about to go out as I needed some body. It took me about five minutes to get that extra lift and it looked like I'd taken more trouble than I had! Highly recommended!
