Disadvantages: You need to take great care choosing the cutting attachment!

I was fed up with my husband spending a fortune on haircuts when he was going bald anyway, so I decided to buy an electronic hair cutter.

It is really easy to use with several different cutting tools, all numbered and can be used for either thinning the hair or cutting it really short. You do have to be careful not to put the wrong attachment on though, as I did once!

He had a line going up the back of his head like the first run of a lawnmower, because I had put a number one on by mistake, instead of the number three!

The cutter is fairly light and is easy to clean, the attachments can be washed and there is a little brush for cleaning the cutting head.

When you first start using it, it's a good idea to use the higher number attachments so that you don't cut the hair too short and progress to the lower numbers when you get the hang of it.

Unless of course you like the Mohican look in reverse!!!
