Advantages: Smudge-free specs
Disadvantages: Dodgy patterns
Spectaclear cloths from Lakeland are nothing short of a godsend. Anyone who wears specs all of the time knows the score. When you buy a new pair, they give you a tiny little scrap of cloth with which to clean your glasses. Within three weeks, it's gone - under the sofa, sacrificed to the washing machine, or relocated to the dimension of lost socks. But wiping your glasses on a tissue, or the bottom of your t-shirt, or your cat just doesn't cut the mustard. From this point on, you're destined to spend the rest of your life seeing the world in a somewhat misty fashion. Fear not, my visually impaired friends, for help is at hand! Simply nip down to your local Lakeland store, or visit their website, and for the paltry sum of £3.25 two of these little saviours can be yours. Each cloth is about 21cm x 21cm - big enough not to get lost too easily, and they come in a variety of pleasing patterns - smarties, leopardskin, paisley or Monet (my own, personal, choice). They remove every last scrap of dirt, grease and all the other yukky stuff that clouds your vision and, best of all, they're completely machine-washable. They even come in their own little plastic pouch, so there's no excuse to leave them squashed up in your pocket. If you're a speccy git like me, or even if you just own a cherished pair of designer sunglasses, you need these cloths!
