I have twice now been spray tanned and the results were fantastic- very natural!

I went to Esque Salon in Leamington Spa and paid to have a St Tropez Air full body tan which cost £29. I was told to wear loose dark clothing for the event as afterwards it would lessen the chances of staining and marks.

Ok so this is done by you standing in what is kind of like a half booth and the therapist then sprays you with her spray gun machine. You have to stand there in a paper thong OR if you want no tan lines at all totally naked! I have done both! They did reassure me that they see totally naked women a lot as that is the norm apparently as most women don't want tan line. As well as this you also have to remove all jewellery/watches/glasses and wear a hair net so that they get a good coverage of your forehead. They then get you to do all these various amusing positions to make sure you are evenly covered. The whole process does not take very long at all, maybe 15 minutes. Once you are done they will ask you if you are satisfied with the result, ie can you see any white bits they may have missed and thats you done! They may well try to sell you some of their products to moisturise as spray tanning does dry out the skin. They also recommend that you exfoliate 2 days BEFORE to get rid of any dry patches.

Okay so once you have been sprayed the tan will get darker and darker over the next 8-10 hours or so, so I recommend only getting this done of an evening as otherwise you will look like you have been rolling in mud. The tan does also rub off on bed sheets ( i know!) but no fear as it does wash off. Don't be too scared when you look at yourself in the mirror as you will look very dark but as soon as you shower although the bronzer will wash off and once you have water running clear you will left with your lovely natural "holiday glow" tan! Now it varies how long this lasts but id say approx 3-5 days although you may notice yourself going a bit patchy in places.

I would highly recommend this tanning process to anyone I think it is without doubt the best way to get a tan, with also the most natual results (no tangoed loook at all!) Even my hubby was very impressed!

Just to add I did not put this in the St Tropez section as although this is what the product is the fact you are going to a salon makes the results somewhat better I think and the process far easier!
