I had high hopes for this product as a new product in Self Tans. As an experienced fake tanner I did the usual - exfoliating, moisturising, blending etc... - for an even result, I then waited one hour for it to dry (just to be sure). After 4 hours a gentle tan was beginning to develop and so I went to bed looking forward to looking bronzed and gorgeous in the morning.
To my shock, the next morning I woke to find I was streaky, blotchy and covered in drips of colour like a tan lotion left over from the 1970's. While the colour was a nice dark and natural bronze, the streaks were extremely bad with large patches of white contrasting with my dark golden tan. Quite a fright when I had a party to go that night and instead of a short summer dress I would be forced to wear winter coveralls of trousers, boots and a long sleeved top.
I won't be getting this product again, especially as there are many other excellent products on the market. I also feel that at the moment I will be avoiding all other Ambre Solaire products just in case. I only hope that it doesn't take too long to wear off!
