Advantages: Makes hair contollable, Small amount needed, Non-greasy if used correctly

Disadvantages: A little expensive, Not available everywhere

Do you have frizzy, fly-away hair???

I did!!!

But not any more?

Hmm, yes, I do in fact have hair which would have made Jimi Hendrix jealous. It has the tendency to be so fly-away that it appears on radar. People tend not to sit behind me in cinemas/peep-shows because my hair either partially or fully obstructs their view. The only advantage my hair has is in generating static from balloons at parties, and in Cosby Show lookalike competitions.

Sound familiar? I bet it does ?

But wait! On that shelf there!!! No not there, that?s for haemorrhoids, over there!!! Yes, it?s the Frizz-Ease range from John Frieda, and it will rid you of your afro!

The Frizz-Ease range are designed for hair which dries out and puffs easily, and brings it under control. There are quite a few sorts, of which (thanks to a recent 3 for 2 offer in Boots) I have tried and tested four:

HAIR SERUM

This is applied to soaking wet hair straight after washing. One or two pumps (depending on your hair length) conditions your hair and makes it ready for blow-drying or just for natural drying. It feels very greasy in the hand, but is fine for the hair, provided you apply it when the hair is very wet. Brilliant.

WIND-DOWN RELAXING CRÈME

For towel-dried hair, this one. Particularly good if you straighten your hair, this is a bit like the serum but with a bit more hold. As with the serum, this should only be used with freshly washed hair. Again, brilliant. And my favourite, boys and girls.

SECRET AGENT

Has the coolest name, but absolutely nothing to do with the secret service or suchlike. This is for clean but dry hair and smoothes it out. As the tube says, it also replaces natural oils in the hair which are lost particularly when blow-drying. Erm, brilliant.

EMERGENCY TREATMENT

This has by far the coolest packaging ? a bright red canister which makes it look really
important, like a fire extinguisher. Useful if, like me, you are a boy (or indeed a girl) on the move. As you may be able to guess by the name, this is for unexpected cases of FRIZZ. Simply spray on the offending area and deal with it as you see fit. A true miracle for today?s hectic lifestyles. BRILLIANT.

Now, these products are a little more pricey than some other hair care products ? about £3.50-£4 for what are quite small quantities. However, the nature of all of these products means that you have to use only a very small amount. This makes up to the size, and you will probably find you will have to buy replacements less often (or at the worst, as often) as with other larger products which require larger doses. They also feel like they are good for your hair. Provided you keep your hair washed, Frizz-Ease products will control frizz extremely well without making your hair greasy. They produce the most natural look than any other hair products I have tried. One small disadvantage - these products are not available everywhere, but Boots and Superdrug usually have quite a large range in stock.

Oh and by the way, I?m not vain, I?m just a boy who got fed up with having inedible candy floss for hair and was delighted with these little beauties! When I try others, I?ll update with the hair results.
