I?d previously been a sceptic of eye creams, finding them to be merely overpriced moisturiser in a tiny jar. None had lived up to their promises of reduced shadows and puffiness and had just left me with greasy rings around my eyes.
I was lucky enough the experience Kiehl?s first hand a few years ago when my husband and I visited New York and we made the pilgrimage to the store and stocked up on the usual lip balms and shaving products. At the time I was young and restless and didn?t think twice about eye skincare and overlooked those products.
I read an article discussing eye creams and the reviewer said in her opinion, only 2 eye creams on the market worked, and one of them was Kiehl?s. Being impressed with their other products, and reaching the grand old age of 26, I thought that it was worth spending £18.95 to discover if this was true.
As my skin is normal to slightly greasy, I opted for the light nourishing eye cream. It comes in a handy tube as opposed to a jar, making dispensing the cream easy. The texture is fantastic, and is absorbed straight away.
After a couple of weeks use the results were quite miraculous. Admittedly, I am lucky to have only a slight shadow and no wrinkles (yet!), but the darkness has virtually disappeared, which in turn made my eyes look even brighter. I feel that with prolonged use I should be able to maintain this and perhaps even stave off some of those wrinkles!
One of the drawbacks however is the availability. My nearest stockist is a one hour drive away, but the products are available via mail order from SpaceNK.
