... £16 I often browsed the Spot Controle at the Lancôme counter and would turn my nose up at the price. £16 seemed steep for a product I would not be using on a daily basis and for a product I didn't believe could do what it said. Around a month ago I was out shopping for other products when I glanced in the beauty counter mirror, it was Saturday so yep you guessed it a spot was brewing under my skin. I commented to the girl who instantly grabbed the Spot Controle form her stand of testers. Spot Controle comes...more

Premium Review Other Lancome: Spot the Girl With perfect Skin - Lancome Spot Controle (707 words)
by - written on 15/10/03 (Very useful, 229 readings)
Rating:

Anyone who knows me well will know how seriously I take skincare. I have a daily skin routine verging on religious not to mention a dressing table that could rival any beauty counter in say Harrods or Selfridges. Over the years I have become loyal to one brand in particular, Lancôme. I own just about everything in the range that my skin could possibly require, multiple cleansers, toners, moisturisers, eye gel, you name it. The latest addition to my collect is the newly revamped 'SPOT CONTROLE' and yes folks I wasn't disappointed. Being 29 I would have expected my skin to have stopped breaking out in blemishes, the ironic thing is there is no monthly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bag full of goodies (483 words)

My mum recently bought me a bag full of Lancome goodies (cos she’s nice like that!) and I’m so impressed with them, I just had to tell you all about the products inside. The products below are all suitable for combination skin. GEL CLARTE This is a foaming cleansing gel that smells gorgeous; really fresh scent. The smooth foam really cleans your face and makes your skin feel clean and smooth. You just need to lather a small amount in the palms of your hands and then apply to a wet face, then rinse off with warm water. Although I didn’t buy this, you can get 125ml from around £12.50. (It comes is a blue tube with a grey ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Other Lancome: Miracle by Lancome (708 words)

Lancôme is part of the French cosmetics chain L’Oreal and over the years they have produced a good range of different, yet all beautiful, perfumes on to the market. However, up until now between my mum and my friends I knew someone who wore all of the scents and so had never worn one myself. However, towards the end of 2000 and just in time for Christmas they launched their new scent “Miracle”, claiming that it “embodies light”, whatever that may mean, and that it is a “fragrance of revelation”. Hmmm sounded intriguing! With its new million dollar advertising campaign featuring American Actress Urma Thurman of Pulp Fiction and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Very Salvador Dali - Lancome's Poeme (179 words)
by - written on 21/11/01 (Useful, 63 readings)
Rating:

I was most intrigued by the design of this bottle, it is reminiscent of Salvalor Dali and I wonder if this was to catch the wearer/user unaware. I like the shape, like the 'Dali' Nose/Lips the theme is Shoulders. The perfume is a pleasant fragrance with subtle hints of citrus and overnotes of saldalwood. A heady perfume with musky overtones, quite fruity with hints of lemon in it I received a sample of this fragrance as a give-away with another Lancome product. I was amazed by the response of my friends and colleagues who felt the fragrance suited me. This normally retails around £20.00 for 30ml but shop around as there are often ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Other Lancome: Lancome Stick Express (125 words)

This was the best foundation stick on the market....Unfortunately it was discontinued just recently. Lancome why did you do take it off the market..I loved this product and could walk the earth and not ever find a product as good as this. It was tranfer resistant and a lovely selection of colours. It was in a lovely small black stick shaped compact with stars on it was beautiful in my make up bag. I would recommend it to anyone especailly those with oily skin and if you are lucky enough to live somewhere where they still have it avaiailable on the market, go out an buy it, you wont be dissapointed. It's moderately priced and lasts approx. 2 months so well worth it. ...  Read the complete review
