Advantages: Alcohol-free , Good for you teeth, Save you visit to the dentist
Disadvantages: could taste better, Should be cheaper
I had to visit my dentist several weeks ago to get some work done on my teeth. The dental surgey had a special offer on Oral-B Anti-plaque alcohol free mouth rinse, two 500ml bottles for £2.00, normally it would cost you £2.99 per bottle at Boots. Noticing it was a great offer I purchased two bottles. The mouth wash is in light blue colour and comes in fresh mint flavour. The bottle comes with it's own measuring cap too . which is very useful when you try to prevent dribbles and over pouring. It recommends you use it twice daily, fill the cap to the 15ml line and keep it in your month for up to 30 seconds then spit it out. The problem is you donot want keep it in your mouth for 30 seconds. I found it pretty hard, therefore I added water to the mouth wash. My problem is some of my teeth are currently very sensitve after the dental work. Therefore others may find it easy to use 15ml of mouth wash. Anti-plaque alcohol-free mouth wash is surpose to be mild and less irritating for those with sensitive teeth, mouth ulcers or sore gums. The mouth wash contains cetylpridinium chloride a ingredient which unhibits plaque formation. A clinically proven ingredient which inhibits plaque formation Use the mouthwash afer brusing it can reduce plaque build-up by 30% between brushings. It also contains fluoride to help prevent cavities by upto 40% more than brusing alone. The mouthwash is not suitable for use for children under six years of age. Use it twice daily in conjunction with brushing and flossing. The taste might not be great but I feel it does do it's job. The taste is not brilliant but like any medicine you take you do it because it makes sense to use. You can find them on the net, the wesbsite address is www.oralb.com
