...... This stuff smells divine!

The smell has caused many a heated encounter....if you know what I mean.

Just to let you in a little on what I use this shampoo for, I?ll tell you a bit about my hair. I have long naturally curly brown hair, that sometimes has red in it (no this is not the begging of a lonely hearts ad, and no I?m not giving out my bra size).

It is to put it mildly somewhat over processed, I?m afraid that over the years my hair has received more than its fair share of colour torture and kamikaze heat styling. You know how it is when you have naturally curly hair you want it straight, never mind that everyone else would kill for it. You always want what you haven?t got. That?s why at one point I had died it the most awful shade of bright yellow blonde (almost resembling the cover of the yellow pages) and dried it straight everyday, at the time I thought it was fantastic.

Now fortunately I realize my hairs limitations, yes I have it straight from time to time, but I don?t do Becky and her techni-coloured strange hair. I?m back to my natural colour (well almost) and have found other ways to make subtle changes to my look.

See I told you this was going somewhere?.

About 8 months ago a friend at work, who had a similar hair colour to me. Came in to work as usual one morning, only there was something a little different about her. It took me awhile to pinpoint the difference, but after several hours of watching her (no I?m not a public transport stalker?. you know the people I?m talking about) I got it. Her hair had always been quite dull, like me she had over processed and abused her mane.

It wasn?t an enormously obvious change just subtle, yet it was apparent or I would never have clicked on. Where her hair had been dull and visually flat, it looked shinier and appeared to be more 3 dimensional, it had an almost iridescent quality about it. At first I thought she most have been to the
hairdressers and had it dyed or at least a special moisturizing treatment.

Well after several hours of me winging at her, she gave in my probing paid off. She eventually explained that she hadn?t been anywhere near the hairdressers and that the solution to her trampled main actually cost less than a fiver. Well I was even more determined to get my hands on the info. When she said she had just use a colour therapy shampoo I was a bit skeptical, I thought she was trying to fob me off. She assured me she had brought it over the weekend and used it three times so it would give results by Monday.

Well off I went to Boots that very diner; I picked up the shampoo and conditioner in both the red and the brown option. Well a girl has to have choices!

I have been using these products ever since. They come in different options to suit your hairs colour. There?s Blonde Goddess for blonds, Take It As Red for warm and red tones, Goodness Greycious for Grey hair and Sweet Like Chocolate for browns. Like I said I like my options so depending on the season and what mood I?m in I either use the red or the brown. I have mid brown hair and both work well on it, you can really tell the difference between the two. When I use Sweet like Chocolate, my hair is softer, shinier, and a deeper chocolate brown. When I use Take It As Red again my hair is softer and shiner, but it brings out the warmer red tones in my hair. Both give real depth to your hair, leaving a hint of iridescent sparkle, they are also great for making me unruly curls easier to manage and of course they smell divine.

That brings me to a safety point the Sweet Like Chocolate one really smells, well like chocolate, with a hint of orange. My 2-year-old niece thinks so too. I have to be very careful when she visit as she tries to get hold of it every time, it doesn?t help that it looks at ice-cream sauce.

My boyfriend also like it, he spends more time with his head in my hair, s
niffing than he does doing anything else. Well at least it keeps him quiet.

Nicky Clarke

Nicky Clarkes mayfair salon has just celebrated its 10th year. So its quite obvious that Nick has a wealth of hairdressing experience. He is also hairdresser to many of todays top celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Denise van Outen, Sophie Dahl and Yasmin le Bon. Don't be fooled into thinking its just the ladys who rush for Nicky's advice, even George Micheal gets his tresses teased there.

For advice on finding the right hair cut for you and top styling tips you can visit Nicky's website.

www.nickyclarke.com

As well as the Colour therapy range, there are also many other products available from Nicky Clarke.

Most products are available from your local Boots store.

If you fancy putting some life and dimension back into your hair, I really would recommend trying these products.

As well as the shampoos and conditioners there is also an excellent range of styling products to complement it.

Happy Shining!!
